A study of the principles and methods of Bible interpretation. Includes foundational commitments for biblical interpretation; a basic method for biblical interpretation; emphasis on authorial intent, context, and grammatical/historical interpretation; analytical tools for observation; interpretive helps for various genres; and biblical, relevant, text-based application. Includes an introductory discussion of the relationship between ethnic Israel and the New Testament Church in the biblical narrative and in biblical interpretation. Three hours.
