Bob Jones University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Bob Jones University also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
Many students are able to transfer credits to BJU! Each course is carefully reviewed and compared to BJU classes. The Registrar’s Office makes the final decision, often working with faculty as needed.
There’s no set limit on the number of credits you can submit for evaluation. However, up to 90 credit hours can be applied toward your degree. Students must complete at least 30 credit hours through BJU, with 120 total credits required for a bachelor’s degree.
Undergraduate courses require a grade of C- or higher to transfer (no D, F, or P). Graduate courses require a grade of B or higher.
Yes! Transfer decisions are based on accreditation, academic level, and course comparability—not delivery format.
Students in Bachelor’s degree programs must complete at least 30 semester credit hours at BJU. Students in Associate degree programs must complete at least 15 semester credit hours at BJU.
Students can use the *course equivalency tool and may submit unofficial transcripts for a transfer credit evaluation. Final decisions are made after admission and receipt of official transcripts.

Transfer credit may apply toward major requirements, core/general education, or electives depending on how the course aligns with program requirements. Courses without a direct equivalent may still transfer as general elective credit.

BJU considers graduate transfer credits from other institutions. To be eligible, courses must have a grade of B or higher and align with your program of study.
Transfer credit limits include up to 6 semester credits for most master’s programs.
All transfer courses are reviewed individually to ensure they meet graduate-level standards and fit within your degree requirements.
Yes! BJU SCOPE accepts college credit earned as a Dual Enrollment student. An official trancript from the college with the credit earned will be required.
