ME 695 - Master of Music Education Capstone

This culminating course in the MME program requires students to demonstrate leadership and research competence through an approved action research project focused on music teaching practice. Students identify a focused instructional problem, design and implement an intervention, collect evidence, analyze results, present findings to peers, and reflect on professional growth. Instructional improvement and student learning in classroom, ensemble, and studio settings are emphasized. Furthermore, students provide leadership beyond their classrooms and schools by writing and sharing information for practicing music teachers. Enrolled students must be teaching music (privately, classroom, church ensemble, etc.) during the term this course is taken. Three hours.
