Designed specifically for the practicing music educator, the course will explore the history of American music through style, historical context, structure, social significance and political impact. Students will complete a final project which connects their own teaching experiences and/or pedagogical concerns to a topic covered in the course. Summer only, even-numbered years, three hours.
