BJU's K-12 Instructional Leadership Certificate is designed to provide the adult learner with tools to assist classroom teachers to improve instruction, design quality curriculum, and effectively use data to determine areas in need of improvement. Candidates for the certificate take courses that introduce them to curriculum development, educational assessment, and the role of the instructional leader in the K-12 environment. The certificate requires 15 credits of coursework. Students who successfully complete the graduate certificate in Instructional Leadership may be eligible to apply up to 15 credits towards the MEd, Teaching and Learning or MS, Educational Leadership programs.
