Fundamental accounting procedures, journals, ledgers, financial statements and uses made of accounting information. Basic principles and procedures in accounting for corporate assets. First semester and summer, three hours.

An in-depth hands-on investigation of spreadsheet technology used in typical business applications. Topics include fundamentals of spreadsheet operation, utilizing spreadsheets to solve quantitative problems in business, basic and advanced spreadsheet formatting techniques, creating spreadsheet reports, creating pivot tables and pivot chart reports, and solving problems using what-if analysis. Summer only, three hours.

An introduction to the management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, and their application to the changing world of business. Particular emphasis is placed on process-centered operations and continuous quality management, toward a goal of total business effectiveness. Three hours.

A software-based course including discrete and continuous probability distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, correlation, and regression. Lecture and lab. Three hours.

Students produce a thesis, project, or major presentation in connection with an internship or full-time job to fulfill the Degree Completion Capstone course. Three hours.

A survey of the Bible and its unfolding message from Creation to New Creation, beginning with creation and fall, climaxing in Christ's work of redemption, and culminating in new creation. Emphasizes biblical literacy, gospel fluency, and cultivation of love for and trust in Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. Three hours.

A study of principles/practices for accurately reading, interpreting, and applying the Bible. The focus will be on understanding and embracing God's authorial intent of the ancient text and making appropriate applications for contemporary living. Three hours.

This course aligns with both International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) standards to prepare students to effectively employ a biblical worldview while integrating technology into a variety of instructional settings. All types of future educators enrolled in this course will be prepared to develop their leadership, scholarship, and citizenship through the skills of collaboration, design, facilitation, and analysis. A technology portfolio will be created by each learner that demonstrates their learning, and a portion of the class will be spent in the pursuit of a third-party educational micro credential. Learners will be exposed to a wide variety of instructional tools and ideas for technology integration. Both semesters and summer, three hours.

An introductory course in the principles of constructing standardized and teacher-made tests, test scoring and interpretation, grading-reporting practices, and an overview of commonly used statistical terms. Both semesters and summer, three hours.

Independent study through the use of readings with special emphasis on selected areas from the field of education. This course can be substituted for other courses at the discretion of the program coordinator. Second semester and summer, three hours.

Review of sentence structure, punctuation, paragraph development and essay organization. Emphasis on expository writing. Required of students with English ACT score between 15 and 23, or Writing SAT score 21 to 29. Not open to those with English ACT score above 23, or Writing SAT score above 29. Introduction to academic writing emphasizing argumentation, research, documentation and style; centering on the library paper. Not applicable toward a major or minor. Both semesters and summer, three hours.

Critical writing using literary analysis. Discussion of literature by genres and according to basic literary critical concepts and terminology. Not applicable toward a major or minor. Second semester and summer, three hours.

A historical and critical survey of American literature from colonial times to 1865. Summer only, three hours.

This course emphasizes basic management principles as they relate to the business of sport. Students are introduced to sport ethics, sport marketing, sport law, sport media, sport supervision, recreational sport management and other related areas. Three hours.

Legal issues connected to the administration of sport organizations and sport facilities. Topics includes constitutional law, contract law, risk management and tort law. Three hours.

Designed to provide advanced instruction and training in technical and tactical skills for volleyball. Three hours.

Supervised work in a position related to coaching or sport administration. To be eligible, students must have completed all the core courses. Students must complete a total of 150 clock hours. Three hours.

An examination of the aesthetic and ethical nature of the arts and their relevance to everyday life. Emphasis on applying a biblical framework for evaluating and interacting with the arts in contemporary culture while affirming the objective nature of Beauty, Truth and Goodness. Guest performances, lectures, readings, and attendance at recitals, art shows and other performances will provide students with opportunities to apply and synthesize course material. Financial management strategies including strategies for budgeting, expense control, credit cards, home buying, car buying, insurance, and investing. Principles applied to personal, ministry, and community finance settings. Three hours.

An in-depth analysis of financial statements and application of principles of finance to actual business situations. Designed to develop decision-making abilities by having students recommend solutions to financial problems. Students will design and use computerized spreadsheet applications to assist in analysis. Three hours.

The course focuses on the process of historical thinking from a biblical perspective by investigating the forces and factors that have shaped the world we live in today, and by studying themes including empire building, revolutions, religious movements, philosophical and artistic accomplishments, social and economic networks. Both semesters and summer, three hours.

A survey of American history from the colonial era through 1865 with a blend of political, economic and cultural aspects. Summer only, three hours.

Review of elementary algebra. Stress on the concept of relation and function, algebraic functions and their graphs. Not applicable toward a major or minor. Summer only, three hours.

A survey of child development theories and the music acquisition process, birth to age nine. The influence of environment, play and movement on music acquisition will be studied through the examination of recent research, developmentally appropriate curricula, field observations and laboratory experiences. First semester, even-numbered years, three hours.

An exploration of contemporary topics and challenges in music education with an emphasis on engaging issues from a biblical worldview. Action research projects, group discussion, and presentations provide opportunities to link research to students' current teaching situations and professional development needs. This is the capstone course and should be the last course taken. It includes the comprehensive exam. Second semester, even-numbered years, three hours.

An introduction to marketing's role of creating and capturing customer value for both consumer and business markets. Topics include customer-driven marketing strategies, product development, pricing, promotion, distribution, supply chain, competitive advantage, marketing ethics, the global marketplace and sustainable marketing. Three hours.

A transition course to assist RN's to further develop their professional nursing skills in role identity and professional development, evidence based research and practice, leadership and organizational management, and communication between healthcare professionals. Three hours.

Provides a broader understanding of nursing theories and their application within professional nursing practice. Exploration of the role of nursing theory in the development of nursing as a profession along with select theorists will be discussed. This exploration and understanding of nursing theory will include a comparison of nursing theory to a biblical worldview. Three hours.

Focus on the leadership and management skills needed to work in a collective organizational system. Topics related to finance, regulation, patient care quality and safety, and effective collaboration are analyzed. It includes the development of a nursing project that reflects application of knowledge and skills studied throughout the RN-BSN Completion Program. Five hours.

Selected philosophical ideas of continuing importance from the pre-Socratics to the 20th century. Second semester and summer, three hours.

Survey of ethical constructs with an emphasis on applying biblical principles in professional contexts. Second semester, three hours.

Analysis and application of the practical skills that leaders and managers need for success in work and ministry contexts. Topics include the leader's vision, communication skills, team development, and self-management. Second semester, three hours.

Students produce a thesis, project, or major presentation or complete a practicum or internship to demonstrate their mastery of the learning outcomes for their degree program. Both semesters and summer, three hours.

Presents the biblical counseling principles and procedures for helping elementary and secondary school-age children. Case study examples encourage application of course content. Three hours.

Establishes a theological and practical introduction to the ministry of biblical counseling. Presents a biblical foundation, including an emphasis upon the sufficiency of Scripture and the doctrine of sanctification as they apply to counseling, an introduction to the process of biblical counseling, and an application of biblical counseling to practical areas of life.\n Three hours.

Rapid review of Greek fundamentals, followed by translation of a variety of New Testament texts. Readings and exercises in standard methods of Greek exegesis, culminating in the writing of two exegesis papers. Students with marginal mastery of Greek fundamentals should consider first taking SNT 621 Foundations for Greek Exegesis. Three hours.

Blends the core concepts of both microeconomics (structure of markets, factors of production, elasticities) and macroeconomics (economic systems; public policy, including fiscal and monetary policy; supply and demand analysis of national income, inflation and unemployment) with personal responsibility as a citizen (credit, interest, banking, budgeting) to create a greater knowledge of the economy and the individual's role as a decision-maker within that economy. First semester and summer, three hours.

American government, the organization and functioning of American political life on the national level. Second semester and summer, three hours.

A systematic study of the biblical doctrine of the Holy Spirit, the Church, and the end times. Includes exegesis of key passages, analysis of disputed issues, and readings in relevant theological literature. Additional doctrines of special interest may be examined at the instructor's discretion. Three hours.

A study of the theology of biblical holiness, with a special emphasis on individual progressive sanctification; and the biblical theology of ecclesiastical unity and separatism, especially as it relates to the history of Fundamentalism and Evangelicalism from the early twentieth century to the present. Two hours.

This course starts by defining worldview and establishing the fact that everyone has a worldview; it evaluates the effect that one's worldview has on one's actions, evaluates ideological warfare and how worldviews influence each other, and provides focused Bible study to allow students to understand the comprehensive theme/story line of Scripture. Three hours.

Study of the biblical teaching concerning Scripture, God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and angels (including Satan). Emphasis throughout is on the practical application of the teachings of the Bible to the Christian life. Summer only, three hours.

Study of the biblical teaching concerning man, sin, salvation, the church and eschatology. Emphasis throughout is on the practical application of the teachings of the Bible to the Christian life. Particular attention is given to timely doctrinal questions. Summer only, three hours.

An analysis and defense of the biblical worldview, together with an analysis and refutation of secular and religious alternative worldviews. The course will equip students to defend the core biblical doctrines and refute spurious philosophical, historical, archeological and scientific claims against the Bible. The course presents a brief history of the apologetics discipline and important Christian thinkers. The course addresses significant historical and contemporary thinkers and their objections to biblical Christianity. Summer only, three hours.
